SLEEPLESS IN SYDNEY

Monday, Oct. 28, 2002 11:01 p.m. Grrr...sometimes talking to my cousin is so draining. Irritating too. She gets all lazy when she talks, even moreso since she's moved over here and made all these new friends. I'm not sure what they're doing to her but she comes home and says "sumfink" instead of "something" and it's driving my sister absolutely ballistic because she's like Miss English and corrects anyone who makes verbal mistakes. It's hilarious because I can read my sister's expressions and she's definitely trying hard not to have her bubble burst but it's getting close! Ben called me up again for a lift tomorrow morning. Ugh. I have this thing where I just don't like having to go out of my way to drive people places. I know it's almost on the way..I'm just being selfish. It's good for me, I need to learn this lesson of generosity and selfishlessness (is that a word? I'm sure if it's not my sister will jump down my throat soon enough. hah!). Okay, someone's gotta dry her soaking wet hair and get some sleep. Been drained again today. I stupid changed watches this morning and hadn't wound it back but thought I had so I was late for my chiro appointment today. I thought I'd be good too, and study in the library for an hour and a half after class. Sheesh :) I was at the traffic light when I started to wonder whether I had the time right. I thought my brother changed the car clock which was reading the same time as my watch. I then rummaged around my bag for my mobile phone and that's when I freaked because I had ten minutes to get over to Burwood but I needed to stop by home first. This was the first time I'd gone to the chiro to have an hour massage done. It wasn't very good. I stripped down to undies and bra and gees, now I think I will spend a little more time, effort and money on buying good underwear so I'll never be caught out wearing some hideous blue checkered thing :) That was a tad embarassing but the man was pretty old and he's worked on my back doing triggerpoint before, though never with my clothes off.
